"Her distinct style is easily recognisable and highly original. Using a visual narrative to seduce her audience with each photographic feast, Sinclair’s art is dark and seductive, baroque and symbolic. Her multilayered photographs subtly present contemporary notions of fashion and beauty through innovative digital media, whilst restoring antique notions of classicism, elegance and luxury." Just from listen to Alexia and watching the videos about how she worked i feel this quite sums up her and her work.

Alexia talked about some of her main inspirations in photography and art. Some of the photographers/digital artists that she spoke of were; Erwin Olaf, Tim Walker, Jill Greenberg and Dave Hill.
After looking at these artists I can see why Alexia finds these artists so inspiring. While talking Alexia mentioned a series that she found quite interesting was the 'Royal Blood' series by Erwin Olaf.
I find these images so interesting but so confronting. I think it is quite a different way to look at historical figures. Each image depicts a historical figure and shows the way they died.
Dave Hill was another artist that Alexia talked about and after looking at his work i find him quite inspirational. His images can be found at: http://www.davehillphoto.com/gallery/page-1
While listening to Alexia's talk it was quite scary to see the amount of work and post-production that she does. Just one video that she showed was scary enough, it showed the amount of work she did for 20 hours worth of post-production and she mentioned that it was one of the smaller post-production jobs that she did. Even though i did find the talk scary and confronting with the amount of work i did interest me and want me to look at photo-manipulation and digital art.
